Service Fulfilment Solution
A leading Network Equipment Manufacturer wanted a multi-vendor management solution to open doors into Service Providers who already had equipment from other vendors.
The Challenge
Amartus was required to provide end-to-end service fulfilment solution for the management of Carrier Ethernet services (EPL / EVPL / EPLAN & EVPLAN). The aim was to provide the vendor with a management system that would encourage operators to consider introducing the vendors equipment, where management systems are often seen as an obstacle to be overcome. So beyond fulfilment, we also needed to provide support for some basic multi-vendor service assurance too - including OAM & CFM support.
The Solution
This solution was built on our Service CommanderTM, which combines our Chameleon OSTM platform with a library of service models and modules - including a full Carrier Ethernet service model. Using Chameleon OS's strong built-in integration capabilities, it was pre-integrated with domain managers of the vendor and also of a number of similar vendors in the same space.

Our strengths:
- As Service Commander extends Chameleon OS platform, we were able to leverage its built-in TMF-based internal model, to provide a common, vendor-independent & service independent model
- Also, Chameleon OS's ability to autoamtically generate database, GUI and APIs from the model meant we were able to deliver a solution in about 6 weeks
- Moreover, because Chameleon OS keeps the database, GUI and APIs up to date as the model changes, and because it has a modular plug-in architecture it was easy to add custom functionality as the customer required
