The Challenge
Our client needed a dynamic service model for their management system. Although Carrier Ethernet was to be their primary service, the client - a leading global equipment manufacturer - required that their field services engineers be able to create and update service definitions & catalogues dynamically.
The Solution
At the heart of Chameleon OSTM is a dynamic service model, which is exactly what this client required. It also included a Carrier Ethernet service model but built on a multi-service, TMF-based model so that we were also able to support MPLS VPN & MPLS-TP models. The dynamic service model meant that new definitions and templates can be provided in XML at runtime.
