Amartus CEO to Present on SDN / SDS at Ethernet Europe 2013 Event

DUBLIN, IRELAND – April 15, 2013 – Amartus, a developer of next-generation software defined service (SDS) and SDN orchestration solutions for telecoms, today announced that founder and CEO Michael Kearns will present at Light Reading’s Ethernet Europe 2013. The conference will be held April 16-17 in Frankfurt, Germany, at the Marriott Frankfurt Hotel.

Speaking on a panel entitled “Software Defined Metro & The Virtualized Services Edge,” Kearns and his peers will explore the rapidly emerging role of metro software defined networks (SDNs) in the carrier Ethernet edge and both near-term and longer-term applications for SDN-enabled metro networks.

The panel will be moderated by Stan Hubbard, senior analyst at Heavy Reading and other panelists will include industry experts from leading vendors including Cyan and Overture Networks.

“We’ve been on the forefront of simplifying service deployment and operation across multivendor carrier networks, and SDN helps carriers deploy new services, quickly across their entire network,” said Kearns. “I am pleased to have the opportunity to share the stage and discuss SDNs with such experienced peers.”

Kearns has more than 18 years experience in the software industry. Prior to Amartus, Kearns led the network management product strategy team for data networks at Marconi Communications Ireland (formerly FORE System and Euristix), where he held overall responsibility for its multi-service broadband network management solution strategy. Prior to that role, Kearns worked for a number of top software companies in the US, UK and Ireland. Kearns graduated from University College Dublin in 1992 with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science.

Amartus Demonstrates CE 2.0 Service Delivery at Ethernet Expo

 ETHERNET EXPO, NEW YORK, BOOTH #227 – Nov. 5, 2012 – Amartus, a developer of next-generation service delivery software solutions, will demonstrate how Carrier Ethernet 2.0 service delivery can be fully automated using its Service Commander™ software.

 Service Commander enables service providers to rapidly design, deploy and operate services that fully exploit the rich capabilities of Carrier Ethernet 2.0 such as multiple class-of-service definitions, improved management metrics and uniform inter-carrier Ethernet exchange capabilities.

Intune Networks, Amartus and Openet showcase world’s first web programmable telecommunications network

Dublin, 20th May 2011 - As part of the Catalyst demonstrations at TM Forum’s Management World in Dublin, 23-26th May, Intune Networks, along with Openet and Amartus, will be presenting their collaboration of the Exemplar Network: Dynamic Desktop — the first web programmable telecommunications network that enables operators to control and monetise their network bandwidth capabilities using web based interfaces.

 

The Exemplar Network was commissioned by the Irish Government to test and validate new revenue generating services and applications that can take advantage of the dynamic nature of a web enabled network.

 

The Exemplar Network, championed by BT, was built on Intune Networks’ Verisma platform, along with service creation via Amartus’ Service Commander™ and Openet’s Policy and Charging Control platform to create a programmable network that provides unprecedented real-time bandwidth control and flexible service delivery.

Industry problem: Bandwidth demands on carriers’ networks are growing exponentially while revenues and profits are decoupled from the cost of delivering the network.

 

Intune Networks’ solution: An innovative network and service model that permits operators to use their infrastructure to deliver network bandwidth as a liquid pool of resources - allowing them to charge, bill and control their services in real-time as required.  This makes it possible for operators to support new revenue and business models, such as spot trading and service passes.

DUBLIN, IRELAND—10 May 2011— Amartus, a leading vendor of next generation OSS/BSS and network management solutions for service providers, today announced the Enhanced Cloud Service Management Catalyst that will explore how communications service providers (CSPs) can develop, monetise and assure a portfolio of innovative and unique cloud computing-based services like hosted video conferencing.

Building on the Inter-Cloud Service Management Catalyst, which was demonstrated at TM Forum’s Management World 2010 conference, the proof-of-concept initiative includes a number of new participants, as its objectives broaden from the fulfillment of cloud services to the operational processes associated with assurance, usage collection, billing, rating and charging.

·         The Cisco® Hosted Collaboration Solution provides a scalable, distributable, partitionable and resilient Internet Protocol (IP) communications platform that supports the delivery of hosted collaboration tools (such as video, voice and web conferencing, telephony, messaging, presence and more) as a cloud computing-based service.

 

·         Cisco provides the underlying IP Next-Generation Network management components, which can monitor and provide visibility into the health of the service transport network. Amartus Launches Industry’s First OSS Solution Providing True Connectivity Service Automation for NGN Service Providers

Hanover, New Hampshire – August 9, 2010 – Amartus, a developer of next generation OSS/BSS solutions, today announced Service Commander, the industry’s first end-to-end next-generation connectivity service automation management platform, enabling service providers to automate their connectivity service delivery process.

The rapid proliferation of next-generation connectivity services required for cloud transport, wireless backhaul, residential and business services has placed increased pressure on carriers to deliver services more rapidly and cost-effectively than ever before. This is a sea change for service providers and Service Commander is the first solution available to automate the design, deployment and operation of those services.
